Job Details

The Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for the preparation of AbbVie's SEC filings including Forms 10-K and 10-Q, supporting the quarterly earnings process, maintaining and executing sound financial reporting and disclosures, assisting with technical accounting matters including the adoption of new accounting pronouncements.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage the preparation of the Form 10-K, 10-Q and other SEC filings ensuring compliance with SEC and U.S. GAAP reporting requirements including XBRL tagging.
  • Monitor GAAP and SEC developments and lead the adoption of new accounting and disclosure rules. Work closely with external auditors.
  • Support the quarterly earnings release process.
  • Lead other significant projects, including the disclosures for M&A transactions, which vary based on AbbVie's business transactions and priorities.
  • Support AbbVie's global rotational development program through coaching and management of staff participants.


Basic:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience. Previous SEC reporting experience for a large global company and considerable Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements including XBRL tagging requirements.
  • Strong technical accounting and research skills are required .
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead multiple projects and balance competing priorities .
  • Strong focus on process improvements .
  • Excellent analytical, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Prior experience with SEC reporting software preferred.
