The Senior Financial Analyst will support Financial Reporting and Special Projects. The successful candidate will have personal drive, be team focused, and possess mental agility to excel in a challenging environment. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to expand their skills and experience into either FP&A or Reporting. Successful candidates will have the ability to work with ambiguity and in a global matrix organization.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Prepare monthly Investment Responsibility package for Corporate and internal P&L package
  • Prepare Balance Sheet schedules and coordinate quarterly review with Corp Controller and VP of Accounting
  • Lead FP&A (Plan, Update, LBE) and Reporting for specified charges to Corporate
  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation of the Finance Forum meeting and package
  • Compile data and analytics to support Plan and Update HQ activities
  • Work cross functionally to ensure journal entries and reconciliations are GAAP and company policy compliant, properly supported with clear documentation, and easy to understand.
  • Supports cross-company charges by calculating, issuing, monitoring ICB (inter-company billing) process. Working with affiliates to gain approval/understanding of charges.
  • Supports key projects/initiatives and drives process improvements


Special Projects/Ad Hoc Requests: (example, not a comprehensive list)
  • Assist in developing and testing new or modified report formats
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system relates issues


Basic:
  • Bachelor's Degree, in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Working knowledge of AbbVie's financial policies (CFMs) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is preferred
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to change to achieve required timelines
  • Proficient in business applications, TM1, ASPIRE, SAP and HFM
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Initiative and ability to work in team environment
  • Previous FP&A roles in pharmaceutical/healthcare manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Previous Cost Accounting experience preferred.
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
