Purpose of the Position

The position manages the activities involved in the design, preparation, delivery and need assessment of training and development programs for company managers and employees.　The position partners with other HR professionals to assess and implement organizational development programs, processes and training initiatives to support organizational strategies.　Determines company needs for leadership development, career management, interpersonal skills and communication training. Develops content, methods, and materials for training. Delivers select training programs. Provides communication expertise to internal communication processes and tools. Develop and delivery of programs, such as new employee orientation, performance management and/or organizational development training. While this position is primarily focused on "soft" skill training, it provides training expertise to technical trainers.

Key Job Responsibilities

Assess the training and development needs of the organization and specific departments/functions to determine the appropriate training solution

Develop and deliver employee development training to meet the organization's need

Interface with external training service providers; develop external training options where appropriate

Provide training expertise to technical training functions to improve how those functions deliver training

Provide communications expertise related to intra-company communications

Job Knowledge Required:

Bachelor degree in human resources, communications or organizational development.

5+ years of experience designing and delivering professional development programs to adults

Strong communication and presentation skills

Working knowledge of human resources processes and how they interact with employee training and development
