Amgen is seeking an Associate Information Systems (IS) Analyst to join Operations Information Systems (OIS). The Analyst will work with the Senior Manager for Quality and Regulatory Systems.

You will be the primary IS contact for specific business capabilities within the Quality Organization and will interact frequently with Quality and Regulatory business partners, IS & Quality management, and service delivery partners to improve business capabilities.

The Operations Information Systems team supports the Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Process Development functions to ensure they have the systems and processes necessary to supply lifesaving products to Amgen's Patients around the globe.

Key responsibilities:
  • Partner with Quality and IS domain authorities to develop and actively lead new business capabilities, new technologies, software and infrastructure upgrades, SaaS platforms and critical security features.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional application and service requirements.
  • Actively engage with business users to analyze business needs, identify technology solutions gather and document design guided by standard methodologies in Agile solution development.
  • Craft business process analysis artifacts, including use cases, stories, process flows, project schedules
  • Work with multi-functional representatives across business partners to align processes
  • Provide critical thinking and strategic discernment to resolve significant technical challenges
  • Work with and or adapt to multiple project methodologies (e.g. Agile, Rational, Waterfall)
  • Build productive working relationships with business clients
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

OR

Associate's degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Clear understanding of requirements management and business processes design
  • Working knowledge of AWS and/or Salesforce
  • Experience in or ability to learn programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual Basic, .NET
  • Experience programming in compiled (C, C++) and interpreted languages (Python, Ruby etc.)
  • Understanding of and ability to work in Agile teams (SCRUM)
  • Excellent team skills encompassing multi-functional teams, peer relationships, informing, understanding and appreciating differences
  • Ability to follow to SOPs, methodologies and policies
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative
  • Highly motivated and able to work effectively under minimal supervision
  • Understanding of Quality management systems/processes
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to set the context and present on complex subjects in a clear and concise manner
