Your Responsibilities
The Production Scheduler is primarily responsible for materials and resource planning for Production
to ensure timely and efficient execution. He/ She is the primary user of the Electronic Resource
Planning system (ERP) for the Production Department to create Bills of Materials, and works
collaboratively with Project Management, QA, QC and Materials Management for prompt and
accurate release of materials so production remains on schedule.

The Production Scheduler is primarily responsible for materials and resource planning for Production
to ensure timely and efficient execution. He/ She is the primary user of the Electronic Resource
Planning system (ERP) for the Production Department to create Bills of Materials, and works
collaboratively with Project Management, QA, QC and Materials Management for prompt and
accurate release of materials so production remains on schedule.
Your Tasks
- Serve as the primary user of the enterprise resource planning system (ERP)
- Work with the Production Manager(s) to create and maintain bills of material
- Work with the production planning team in Switzerland to request new, final and intermediate products
- Enter bill of material and other relevant information for new products
- Issue and update manufacturing orders as needed
- Provide Production, QA, QC and Materials Management with required manufacturing order within required timelines
- Work with Materials Management to update bills of materials to improve forecasting accuracy
- Utilize project timeline available in the ERP to assist with production planning
- Work effectively with multiple departments to meet timelines
Your Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field
- 2-4 years' work experience in API manufacturing
- Working knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations
- Experience in production planning and resource allocation
- Ability and willingness to travel to Bachem's other US locations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
- Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issues
- Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time
- Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment. Flexibility of working hours based on business needs, may include some nights and occasional
- Preferred: Experience with Peptides
- Experience with the use of ERP systems
