The Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc.'s (LBR) staff of scientific, technical, and support professionals conduct basic and applied research in cancer and AIDS. One of LBR's primary responsibilities is to operate the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR), a Federally Funded Research and Development Center focused on cancer and AIDS research. The LBR Biospecimen Research Group (BRG) based in Rockville, MD supports work being performed for the National Cancer Institute's Center for Strategic Scientific Initiatives (CSSI) specifically the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC), as well as other key projects such as the Genomic Data Commons (GDC) and Human Cancer Models Initiative (HCMI) for the Center for Cancer Genomics (CCG).

KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES-THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING APPROVAL

The Sr. Program Coordinator will:
  • Coordinate all BRG staffing
  • Provide administrative support to the BRG Director
  • Assist with onboarding of all new employees
  • Process monthly report to the President's Watch List
  • Request VPN packages via the Government COR
  • Maintain and update databases and other needed information to facilitate daily activities
  • Oversee the submission of scientific publications to the Clinical Research Directorate
  • Process all travel requests and reimbursement requests
  • Oversee equipment tracking steps
  • Create all new purchase requests for BRG subcontracts
  • Execute all financial purchases made by BRG through non-contract mechanisms

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
  • In addition to educational requirements, a minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible administrative experience including two (2) years at the Program Coordinator level.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
