Summary:
The Director, Identity and Access Management (IAM), will perform as the business and service owner of the IAM service tower. The incumbent will develop Regeneron's IAM operating model, organizational structure, architectural blueprint and technology implementation roadmaps across on premise, cloud, and mobile systems. The Director will lead a mixed retained staff / managed service provider team in the delivery of IAM services. He/she will align business requirements and security capabilities to produce a collaborative IAM program. The Director will be responsible for user identity lifecycle management, secure access, regular certification of access, and user authentication/authorization. The incumbent will be an executive sponsor and business owner for diverse project teams from a technical and business perspective, and interface effectively with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues

Responsibilities:

• Lead a mixed retained staff / managed service provider team in the delivery of IAM services.

• Develop the identity and access detailed technology reference architecture and integration roadmap

• Plan and build for identity and access technologies based on the reference architecture

• Design and configure identity technologies, including single-sign on, privileged access, employee/non-employee and cloud access

• Collaborate with application owners to on-board those applications into the identity and access management solution for automating access governance

• Attend architecture and application review boards, driving identity and access requirements as part of the deployment of new business/IT applications

• Regularly review the identity and access operational processes against the architected design and configuration for maintaining long-term program effectiveness

Requirements:

Knowledge and Experience

• 8+ years in Identity and Access Management, or 8+ years in IT with 4+ years in Identity and Access Management

• Experience architecting identity and access solutions to achieve enable access certification, identity lifecycle management, and secure access management capabilities

• Experience with Active Directory architecture, single sign-on, federated identities, provisioning/de-provisioning processes, privileged access management, and cloud access/authorization

• Fluent in core IT and networking topics, and demonstrated expertise in security technologies and architectures

• Experience with one or more market leading identity and access technologies (e.g. SailPoint, Okta, Oracle OIM, Ping, CA)

Leadership

• Experience in a large and complex (multi-application) environment, with experience in a regulated environment a plus

• Strong leadership skills and qualities which enable candidate to network, lead within the organization and influence

• Demonstrated people leadership and management experience and a track record of running successful IAM projects.

• Responsible for managing project teams and resources as needed

Collaboration

• Play an integral role on the security architecture team to and work cross-functionally within the organization as needed

• Ability to work with Technical and Non-Technical business owners

Innovation

• Ability to design/architect and implement cloud and mobile identity and access management technologies

• Innovate a cross-platform privileged access management scheme

• Develop and implement methods for managing access to applications that do not have out of the box connectors with an identity and access platform

Skills/Tools

• Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking

• Assist with internal efficiencies projects and development

• Ability to articulate technical and business issues and solutions effectively to business or technical staff across organizational layers

• Strong discipline regarding enforcement of access management core principles

Preferred:

• Knowledge of executing information security projects or IT projects in GxP environments.

• Position requires CISSP, CISM, CHE or equivalent, relevant certification from a recognized body (e.g., SANS, ISC2, ISACA). If absent, certification must be attained no later than after one year of start date.
