The Finance Manager for Third Party Manufacturing (TPM) & Brands will provide financial leadership, business expertise, guidance and support for the Immunology brands. More specifically, the Finance Manager will partner closely with the broader Supply Chain team to ensure that the Humira and Skyrizi pen components are available for finished product production, all internal controls are applied appropriately, and insightful financial analysis is provided to achieve strategic and day-to-day business objectives.

The Manager role will be exposed to complex International accounting and financial processes interfacing with Global functional areas including the VLOG entity, Manufacturing, Transfer Pricing, and Trade Compliance with Global communication and coordination.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Financial Reporting & Analysis - Actuals Process and Reporting:
    o Prepare and submit monthly Humira TPM Project accruals, reclasses and various cost allocation journal entries.
    o Coordinate with VLOG finance team to ensure alignment on Month End Actual finance results.
    o Deliver commentary of variances to LBE, Plan during Month-End Flash meetings.
    o Leverage existing reports and develop Immunology specific reports to communicate monthly financial results to Brand teams.
    o Closely support Brand team's various TPM spend and ad hoc related inquires. Provide analytics, insights and commentary as needed.
    o Support transition to ASPIRE. Streamline current processes capitalizing on new system capabilities.
    o Support Corporate Tax requests as needed.
  2. Financial Planning & Analysis - Plan/Update/LRP/LBE Cycles
    o Coordinate, consolidate and manage the development and reporting of Actuals, Plan, Update, Latest Best Estimate (LBE) and Long Range Plan (LRP) including capital, project expense, and headcount.
    o Coordinate LBE assumptions with Brand, VLOG finance team and MES to ensure transparency of assumptions and clear relation to the financial implications for each estimate cycle.
    o Responsible for planning and monitoring projects that support product manufacturing and supply chain key strategies such as: expand capacity to meet projected demand, enhance security and continuity of supply and pipeline assets.
    o Develop a Humira Integrated P&L to incorporate all key inputs influencing estimates, Plan and Standards across Supply Chain and MES.
    o Responsible for development and coordination of standards for HUMIRA pen components.
  3. Finance Business Partnership:
    o Influence multiple key strategic initiatives and lead special projects providing financial leadership and support.
    o Develop strong partnership with Purchasing (PSM) to influence Terms and Conditions within our TPM Contracts.
    o Work with Brand and PSM to pursue SMI and ensure calculations and methodologies are aligned.
    o Provide analysis to support in In-Sourcing / Out-Sourcing opportunities with AbbVie/TPM network.
    o Effectively balance financial needs of Growth products with needs of Pipeline/Launch products within the Immunology portfolio.
    o Drive cohesion between Supply Chain and Commercial finance teams.
    o Work closely with Brand Teams to evaluate risk mitigation strategies when concerns arise in the existing Supply Chain.
  4. Internal Controls & Compliance:
    o Owner of quarterly Capital Review process with manufacturing plant finance and engineers to analyze and track progress/risk of Capital projects.
    o Ensure financial results are recorded in compliance with AbbVie financial policies (CFM's), Sarbanes Oxley and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
    o Enforce and enhance internal controls by providing guidance and counsel to Brand teams in areas of Corporate Finance Manual (CFM) policies, divisional internal control procedures and International policies.

  • Bachelor's Degree B.S. or B.A. in Business (Business/Accounting/Finance). CPA/MBA desired.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience. Experience in plant/cost accounting is a plus.
  • Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance.
  • Ability to communicate as well as influence through relaying complex data in simple terms d driving actionable intelligence.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in systems, particularly MS Excel/PowerPoint. TM1, SAP, ASPIRE experience a plus.

  • Individual must be self-motivated and demonstrate a high level of accountability. Able to work independently and adjust priorities as needed.
