As a member of the US Value & Access team, the Associate, Strategic Pricing & Contracting will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Pricing and Contracting. This position will be responsible for the US pricing and contracting strategies and analytics for one or more set of products within the portfolio. This individual will partner with the relevant Therapeutic Area Business Unit, Value and Access leads, USBO Finance, Legal, and the Contracting & Proposal Development team to develop pricing and contracting approaches that optimize access and profitability for the US portfolio.

Key job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct appropriate analyses and develop pricing and contracting recommendations that assist in decision-making of senior leadership
  • Review contract redlines and interface cross-functional partners to drive contracts to completion
  • Participate in the LEDR discount forecasting process
  • Develop and maintaining an understanding of the payer and reimbursement landscape


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

OR

Associate's degree and 4 years of commercial contracting, sales operations, finance and/or analytics experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of commercial contracting, sales operations, finance and/or analytics experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Biology, or Public Health
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Ability to think critically, proactively anticipate problems and propose solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starting nature; capable of and comfortable with independent critical thinking and problem solving; energized by change and challenges
  • Passionate about biotechnology field
  • Curiosity and desire to learn
  • Strong team player who can collaborate with colleagues on complex tasks
  • Track record of successfully owning, planning, and implementing multi-faceted projects
  • Ability to work effectively/collaboratively across teams, levels of management, across partnerships, leverage contact network to motivate diverse teams, and enable cross-functional collaborations
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills: can effectively communicate through a variety of means
  • Strong orientation to teamwork: works collaboratively, effectively and efficiently with others in a matrixed team environment
