Position Overview:

Molecular Templates is seeking a highly-skilled and highly-motivated professional to support project procurement tracking, coordination, reporting and documentation across various programs and initiatives. The Project Analyst/Assistant will collaborate with project managers and leadership to provide support project management activities. This position will require excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with ability to operate under limited supervision on assigned activities and projects.

Job Responsibilities may include:
  • Perform project management activities related to procurement functions, including vendor interaction for qualification, vendor set-up, tracking of progress for payment and accounting accrual
  • Manage project file systems, to include associated files and documentation
  • Generate reports using MS Project or Smartsheets to communicate project status, including identifying process improvements in developing new reports
  • Assist with coordination and planning support for meetings and other project related activities or tasks required to meet departmental and project goals

  • Associates Degree in Business, Project Management, Life Sciences or related field, required; Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry or related area, preferably in an operations role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PMP certification or similar, preferred
  • Working knowledge of drug development operations
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Project Management software (i.e. MS Project, Smartsheets), a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent planning, organization and execution skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, able to determine root cause and address the issue
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced, team environment and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to exercise high-level of judgement with sensitive information

Reporting Structure:

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Biopharmaceutical Project Management.
