Job Details

  • Monitor overall program performance by managing the PMO program activities, and leading project managers to achieve the target goal.
  • Identify alternatives, opportunities, risks, and recommendations to align with the strategy and goals
  • Manages stakeholder relationships and expectations
  • Identify and execute realistic cross functional program implementation plans that will improve AbbVie's ability to develop and manufacture quality products in a cost effective, compliant, and timely manner.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project management resources
  • Manage project teams and facilitate communications between resources
  • Manage employee development, training, performance expectations and insuring key HR activities are managed
  • Monitor project financial reporting and accountability


  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering or related degree; MBA or higher education desired but not required
  • 10+ years Pharmaceutical, Device Engineering or Operations Experience preferred
  • 6+ years of Program Management Experience, with expertise in MS Project and Project Risk Management
  • Demonstrated success as a collaborative team player
  • Proven ability to communicate and deliver results, actions, decision and concerns with little direction or supervision in a timely manner
  • Broad, diverse, cross-functional or cross-divisional experience
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Financial acumen and ability to assess project ROI
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Experience with DMAIC six sigma and advanced process improvement techniques preferred
