Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with our Integrated Service Providers (ISP) in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities at ASF
- Oversees the development of facilities management plans and strategies to manage facility assets and real estate property
- Negotiates with executive and senior management in prioritization and resource allocation for major construction and tenant improvement projects
- Identifies opportunities and synergies across Engineering.
- Supports clients as a dedicated customer advocate and single point of accountability and contact for engineering services provided by GFO
- Frequently interacts with clients' senior management and/or functional peer group managers
- Meets regularly with clients and translates client needs and initiative into GFO and/or Engineering objectives, programs, and projects
- Demonstrates commitment to Safety and Compliance and holds Integrated Service Providers (ISP) accountable for Safety and Compliance
- All work to be completed to assure minimal impact to production and compliance with all cGMP guidelines and Amgen procedures
- Partners with Compliance and Quality Assurance to ensure the facilities portfolio and operational practices are in alliance with the corporate compliance commitments
- Ensures consistent management and maintenance practices throughout the facilities
- Ensures Integrated Service Providers (ISP) deliver on scope of work and monitors service level agreements to ensure compliance
- Provides consistent approach and escalation path for managing Integrated Service Providers
- Develops and oversees site facilities and equipment maintenance programs in conjunction with Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) and Food Provider
- Supports site-wide infrastructure and tenant improvement projects, ranging from improving operational efficiency to ensuring that facilities meet governmental regulations and Amgen standards
- Participates in capital project planning and administration and ensures successful implementation of project objectives
- Assists in developing benchmarking for facilities operational parameters, monitoring employee satisfaction with work environment, space-utilization, and risk management issues
- Assists in development of a long-range maintenance program and systems life cycle analysis
- Assists in developing, monitoring, and justifying the departments' budgets.
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree & 2 years of Facilities experience
OR
Master's degree & 6 years of Facilities experience
OR
Bachelor's degree or & 8 years of Facilities experience
OR
Associate's degree & 10 years of Facilities experience
OR
High school diploma / GED & 12 years of Facilities experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in vendor management and managing outsource service providers
- Strong technical knowledge in building systems and knowledge of cGMP requirements as they relate to facility maintenance
- Experience working with regulated waste management, shipping and receiving operations, DOT/IATA
- Familiarity with SAP and CMMS, ideally MAXIMO
- Ability to build working relationships and effectively partner cross-functionally, cross-regionally and at all levels in the organization
- Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, organizational and planning skills
- Ability to represent organization to all management levels
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to take on several projects at one time
- Ability to lead diverse teams
- Ability to build and maintain effective teams across multiple levels of the organization
- Strong conflict management and negotiation skills
- Ability to effectively influence across multiple levels of the organization
- Strong tolerance for ambiguity in direction and in rapid changes in corporate strategy
