This role is with the antibody discovery group. Systimmune has developed a unique, efficient and extremely powerful antibody discovery platform. This position would involve learning how to operate this platform and requires an intelligent individual who is enthusiastic about generating antibodies for the treatment of disease. An ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology, assay development, therapeutic antibodies and ideally Oncology. Although this group is primarily focused on antibody discovery it will also carry out some early stage drug development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Produce reports on new discovery targets
  • Run antibody discovery projects
  • Sort/Culture antigen specific B cells
  • Develop and miniaturize in vitro functional assays using primary immune cells and tumor cells
  • Screen antibodies for binding, function and kinetics at multiple stages of their development
  • Develop multi-specific antibodies
  • Work as part of a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary team
  • Prepare written reports and oral presentations on research projects

Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • PhD; MS; BS in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field with (PhD); 10+ years (MS); 12+ years (BS) of relevant academic and/or pharmaceutical or biotech experience
  • Enthusiastic about discovering antibodies for the treatment of disease
  • Strong experience in developing immune cell assays is required
  • Strong background in immunology is required
  • Experience in drug development (especially with therapeutic antibodies) and oncology experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with Flow cytometry and ELISA is required, experience with other immunological assays would be ideal
  • Octet, high throughput screening, and robotics experience would be desirable
  • Demonstrated drive for rigorous scientific excellence
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; strong team player
