Summary:

The Associate Director Sourcing COE Systems is responsible to develop the sourcing systems strategy and lead the team responsible for managing both sourcing data analytics and sourcing systems. S/He works effectively with ambiguity to anticipate future business requirements and trends in Strategic Sourcing Technology categories. The Associate Director leads a team of systems/data managers and analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and maintain the procurement system strategy and technology roadmap for the department

• Creates, manages and drive adoption of best in class contract management, procure to pay and spend
analytics processes

• Oversees the design, development, and implementation of dashboards to track department performance against goals and align to key financial metrics such as savings, spending by category, and supplier performance scorecards

• Enables the tools to conduct advanced data analytics, cost modeling, and TCO analysis in support of sourcing and negotiating strategies

• Conducts benchmarking and communicates understanding of world class sourcing systems technology, as well as action plans on how to transition the department to a world class operating state.

• Interfaces with Finance for savings sign off

• Develop process and tools to share best practices across the organization

• Identifies and defines sourcing best practices from both within and outside of Regeneron and ensures best practices are adopted

• Informs and influences decision making at the management and executive level

• Provides coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports and provides leadership examples for the organization

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's plus 10 years of relevant, progressive experience within procurement, to preferrably include 7 years directly in sourcing Pharma/Biotech.
Or

• Master's plus 8 years of relevant, progressive experience within procurement, to preferrably include 5 years directly in sourcing within Pharma/Biotech.

Experience

• Demonstrated experience leading multiple spend categories and strategic sourcing teams

• 2 years or more of supervisory experience and/or demonstrated experience leading a matrix team

• Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP's, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, Other)

• Ability to leverage standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

• Cost modeling knowledge

• Excellent verbal and written skills

• Ability to develop detailed business cases

• Ability to build consensus, teamwork, and creativity within a collaborative team with limited supervision
