We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) to work in this exciting new area of cancer immunotherapy to support the development, management and execution of site projects and portfolios. In this role you will report to site PMO at our new commercial manufacturing facility located in Frederick, MD.

You will have a blend of strong project management skills and technology tools experience with SharePoint, Spotfire, Tableau, SmartSheet, Jira or Planisware.

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for providing PMO support to the Frederick manufacturing site by developing and implementing site PMO structure, portfolio planning process and project management tools including standardized templates and technology platform/ systems (e.g., SharePoint)
  • In this role yo will be asked to develop site governance, portfolio and resource management processes including project in- take, prioritization (e.g., Project Council), status review & reporting and resource tracking; with an emphasis on process, templates and tool development internally or with external vendors
  • You will also support various site ramp up Operational Readiness activities including specific workstream dashboard building, achievement tracking, data management and analysis, document management, meeting management, and scheduling


Essential Duties
  • You will establish and maintain a standard set of PMO practices, processes and templates leading projects consistently and efficiently
  • You will also implement and develop PMO process, templates and technology with internal and/or with external support
  • You'll develop detailed project plans, including timelines, to monitor and track project progress; plan and execute project update meetings;
  • Create and maintain collaborative work relationships with internal and external partners
  • Handle changes to project scope, project timeline and project budget and evaluate project risks; identify and call out internal, vendor and project related issues, as appropriate
  • Collect, consolidate and analyze program and project data to support effective decision making
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Provide measurement on project performance during and at completion of project
  • Maintain flexibility and is willing to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the site and PMO


Qualifications
  • You will have 8+ years of relevant experience and a BA or BS; or 6+ years of relevant experience and a MS or MBA; some biopharmaceutical industry experience is a requirement
  • Strong experience in Project Management methodologies and templates; PMO experience required
  • In-depth user experience with using Microsoft Suites including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project; strong user and administrative experience with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization required; experience with developing dashboards using Excel, Spotfire and/or Tableau is a strong plus
  • Experience with Project, Portfolio and Resource (including FTE & external spend) planning tool such as Excel modeling, SmartSheet, Jira, Planisware etc. is a strong plus
  • Adapt at capturing essential business decisions and requirements through interviews with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to interact with multiple layers of the organization with demonstrated success initiating change and influencing at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of setting priorities and handling varying workloads
  • Experience leading projects with ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Problem solver and continuous improvement mindset
