We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join Cell Therapy Research in the Allogeneic Program as lead of the Stem Cell Biology / T-Cell Development Group . The selected candidate will direct the development of novel technologies and processes for generating T-cells from gene modified pluripotent stem cells, with the goal of generating a CAR-T allogeneic cell therapy product.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to design experiments, coordinate with sub-teams, and direct reports to execute program workflows, organize and analyze results, determine appropriate follow-up experiments, and communicate program progress to the general research group and management. The candidate will be expected to maintain program progress according to established timelines, and adjust research focus as necessary to ensure progress is on-track.

The selected candidate will lead a team of scientists and associates focused on the development of a stem-cell based allogeneic product for engineered immunotherapies. Responsibilities will include evaluating several gene modifications and their impact in T-cell development, phenotype, potency of developed cell product, allogeneic response, graft rejection, and product persistence. The team lead will interface with the Product Sciences department to develop the stem cell to T-cell methodology into a commercial process, Regulatory to develop a strategy for IND filing, and Legal to develop a robust IP portfolio surrounding this technology.
