Kite Pharma is looking for a leader of Information Technology to support our manufacturing and supply chain operations. We are expanding our infrastructure globally following on our successful launch in commercializing T cell therapy. These are exciting times and we need an innovative, operationally savvy, thoughtful, results driven leader.

Responsibilities will include:

Strategy.

Lead the innovation strategy of Information Technology Technical Operations (which includes manufacturing, Supply-Chain, Quality, Process Development) systems solutions to deliver CAR-T therapies to patients and plan the adaptability to Allogeneic

Articulate and present a technology Road Map (1-3-5 year) for our Tech Ops business unit. This include to re-design our Tech Ops system architecture entirely. This comprehends the development, design, and then refining for expansion and change to best support the business and the patient. Additional includes

Participate in discussion with Industry experts and research institutions to understand the future manufacturing capabilities for Cell Therapy and align on the right timing to bring those capabilities to Kite

Operations.

Partner with manufacturing to design the next generation of fully automated Manufacturing facilities, and the IT portfolio Roadmap to enable, including to lead the implementation of Global MES

Build out Data Analytics and reporting strategy supporting Supply Chain/Manufacturing

Assist manufacturing, supply chain, and quality partners on the evaluation of vendor solutions, develop alternatives and recommend technical solutions in meeting the evolving needs of the business

Provide stewardship and effective management of IT resources and investments, including oversight of resource requirements, Tech Ops project portfolio, departmental budgets and staffing plans, and management of IT vendors and service providers.

Manage IT continuity and connectivity, overseeing maintenance, compliance and security of existing systems and development of new systems

Management & Leadership.

Build and maintain an organization of talent - in a matrix operating model -- that meet the needs of the business. Develop, motivate, lead and manage this team, including identifying leaders and developing managers

Influence organizational change to continuously re-tool the skills within the organization to meet technology and business environment changes

Collaborate with and empower Manufacturing Site IT leads to plan, coordinate, direct, and lead the design of IT-related activities of their site

Build strong relationships with senior business leaders to clearly define program requirements and outcomes, understand project budgets and investment prioritization

Qualifications & Experience:

15 or more years of experience in progressively responsible roles within the technology function

Experience operating under the ISA-95 model preferred

Pharma or biotech experience preferred

Managing an infrastructure supporting manufacturing and supply chain, and Architect manufacturing technology landscape is strongly preferred.

MES, ERP and Quality systems experience required. Particularly global MES/EBR design and implementation

5+ years of experience in a role presenting verbal and written communications to all levels of the organization
