The PMO function within the North America Commercial Operations organization is a core enabling function leveraging best practices in project management, program management, vendor management and continuous improvement to achieve the goals of NA Business Operations and measurably impact the ability of the NA Commercial business to achieve goals and prepare for the future.

The North America Commercial PMO Lead will spearhead the introduction and adoption of PMO, VMO and service-based operational process maturity within the NA Commercial Organization. With guidance from the NA Commercial Enablement Lead, this role will introduce maturity in an incremental fashion, that aides in the productive execution of both tactical and strategic activities in NA Commercial business. This role will work with third -party vendors/ partners setting the standards for working with Ipsen and establish a cadence for supporting and leading key governance bodies as the business matures. In addition, this role is a launching point for a services-oriented approach within business operations, hence taking planned steps to incrementally improve basic operational processes in the areas of demand planning, budgeting and communication to better collaborate and serve the needs of key NA stakeholder communities.

Main responsibilities / job expectations
  • Accountable for the definition and introduction of PMO processes in NA Commercial Operations
  • Accountable for the management of strategic projects and targeted operational activities
  • Introduce adoption of PMO processes within Business Operations
  • Collaborate with NA Commercial Operations to scale and adopt new processes and project maturity
  • Develop repeatable project planning assets for NA Commercial business
  • Develop process maps of NA Commercial functions in support of project scoping and planning
  • Plan and manage Digital, Analytics, Data and technology based projects in support of the NA commercial business


Knowledge, abilities & experience

Education / Certifications:
  • Bachelors' Degree in business management and/or technology management
  • Masters in Pharm, Computer Science, Business Management ,Operations, Analytics ideal
  • PMP and/or Agile methodology experience preferred


Experience:
  • At least 5 years of recent Commercial pharmaceuticals and life sciences experience preferred
  • At least 10 years building and managing projects and programs across business and technical domains
  • Experience training teams either directly or through execution of project or matrix
  • Has introduced project and process maturity into organizations that are growing and entrepreneurial
  • Worked within a global stakeholder environment
  • Introduced operational process for service management ( eg ITSM or equivalent operational management experience)
  • Knowledge and management of digital (web and/or digital mktg), Analytics and Data projects
  • Built project and vendor management operations and programs
  • Built and led communication, deployment and operational plans
  • Project and Program budgeting
  • Key Internal stakeholders: Business Operations, Brand Teams, Sales, Compliance, Legal , HR , Canada and Global Commercial Operations, Transformation and IT
  • Key External contacts: Agencies, Data Suppliers, Technology Vendors and outsourcing partners
