We have world-class cross-functional staff across the globe including sales and marketing, regional medical liaisons, oncology nurse specialists and customer account teams to ensure our discoveries go from bench to bedside.

The OBU Speaker Bureau Manager will co-lead operational and strategic activities for the Oncology Business Unit Speaker Bureau. In addition, this position will assume Speaker Bureau responsibilities for the Oncology Portfolio of products (6), each product will require its own bureau to match content to the needs of each program. The OBU Speaker Bureau Co-Lead will be responsible for coordinating with all external vendors involved in operationalizing programs to support each brand. This involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to the sales force teams, internal Brand Marketing Teams, Compliance Department, and our US Medical Teams. The OBU Speaker Bureau Co-Lead will also be responsible for managing and tracking program budgets across all brands, reporting on a quarterly basis the current and projected spend to ensure goals are met. Paramount to this role will be ensuring that all of Amgen Inc.'s compliance policies and standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate regularly with the field various program updates and report on the execution of the budget and strategy of the various programs

• Facilitate and triage ad hoc speaker program challenges across internal and external stakeholders to meet customer needs

• Oversee, contract and execute on the Brand Team's selection of the most effective speakers for the brands' needs

• Ensure adherence to all compliance requirements

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Opinion Leaders - communicate with OLs to gain feedback on content and coach them on compliance for each project

• Collaborate with cross functional internal partners to execute live/remote training sessions according to brand strategy and compliance standards for each of the brands

• Collaborate across the US Business Organization with other Speaker Bureau Leads to manage the speaker bureau vendor, ensure the OBU needs are being met, and triage any issues

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree


Master's degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization


Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization


Associate's Degree and 8 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization


High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of demonstrated sales leadership and customer-facing experience, particularly with Opinion Leaders

• Excellent cross functional team leadership skills

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• Previous experience in oncology

• Previous demonstration of effective, solution-oriented problem-solving skills
