Job Details

The Training & Development Sr Mgr develops, directs and coordinates Global Commercial Operations training activities for a variety of launch products and disease states. He or she will be responsible for the development and execution of product core curriculum, new hire, and follow-up training for the Global sales teams. You'll work directly with Field Sales Management and Sales Training leadership in US, EU, IC and Japac to design, develop and implement training sessions. You will manage quality of field training programs, as well as conduct needs assessments and on-going field research. You will collaborate with marketing and business unit trainers to assess and customize all training for label updates or significant marketing campaign updates. Additionally, you will maximize efficiencies across all business units to improve cost effectiveness. The Training & Development Sr Mgr will work with various training resources and collaborate with sales and marketing customers critical to achieving overall goals. This position is based at Headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA although remote location will be considered.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of sales and/or training & development experience

OR

Master's degree and 4 years of sales and/or training & development experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of sales and/or training & development experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years sales and/or training & development experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of sales and/or training & development experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: pharma/biotech sales, hospital systems account management and/or training & development.
  • District Manager experience.
  • Account management and/or sales management experience.
  • Track record of success, demonstrate good team member and leadership qualities, and excellent matrix management skills.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, creative problem solving, and excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to oversee complex projects and manage time, resources and cross functional teams.
  • Strong internal project management skills and ability to manage remote relationships.
