Summary:
- Engage in partnership with Label Copy Coordinators to obtain prioritization and clarification on discrepancies/inconsistencies that are observed.
- Perform assigned tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Evaluate the acceptability of new and revised artworks for printed packaging materials for all component types prepared by Graphics Designers, Sites, and Markets supported by GPT.
- Evaluate the acceptability of vendor proofs to ensure proofs match approved artwork.
- Record the completion of each proofreading activity the system or log.
- Perform proofreading of development artwork for regulatory submissions.
- Monitor backlog of artwork to ensure deliverables are provided on time.
- Perform document comparisons:
- Composition copy to composition copy to facilitate artwork creation.
- Pre-TVS to confirm artwork provided is accurate and acceptable for processing.
- Collect and communicate GPT observations and questions back to Label Copy Coordinators for resolution.
- Collaborate with GPT team to identify improvements to the comp creation process.
- Provide support to users of Proofware worldwide.
- Provide training to new proofreaders, ensure capabilities, monitor progress.
- Provide metric information to the artwork team for review and process improvements. Deliver pertinent information to management.
Experience / Knowledge Desired:
- 4+ years experience as a Proofreader, performing competently and independently, proofreading artwork for packaging materials for pharmaceutical products.
- Demonstration of proficiency in manual proofreading of medical/scientific terminology and non-English text, including non-Roman characters and languages reading right to left
- Demonstration of proficiency in the hardware/software used to electronically proofread artwork
- Self starter with a high degree of integrity, including open and honest communication
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills with the ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment
- Ability to work with a range of technically and culturally diverse people to attain desired results
- Ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience at multiple levels
