Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading an drug discovery program in the areas of immunology and inflammation. This includes working with other scientists within a drug discovery team to define program strategy and identify studies needed to advance the program and address issues. The work will involve facilitating the efforts of people from various functional groups and leveraging resources to ensure timely completion. The individual will be responsible for designing and executing biological studies, especially cell-based assays, and will play a major role in data interpretation. The individual will also be responsible for supervising associate-level scientists.

Job Requirements
  • PhD level scientist within the area of Cellular Immunology or a related field with at least3 years experience in drug discovery.
  • Evidence of supervisory responsibility is required and experience in project leadership would be an advantage.
  • The position requires extensive experience with primary immune cells of human and rodent origin
  • Functional cell-based assays, cytokine measurements, receptor binding and occupancy and cellular signaling using appropriate biochemical and pharmacological techniques.
  • Good communication skills together with a publication record in immunology in peer-reviewed journals are considered critical.
