The Research Investigator will join the Discovery Pharmacology and In Vivo Biology Group at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Cambridge, MA and aide in the advancement of early stage therapeutic targets at the intersection of tumor genetics and tumor immunobiology. The successful candidate will possess expertise in mouse tumor models and in vivo pooled CRISPR screens and leverage these skills to drive in vivo target identification efforts. The successful candidate's team will also plan, execute and analyze preclinical in vivo studies, e.g. PK/PD and efficacy, interrogating our immuno-oncology and resistance biology portfolio.

Job Responsibilities and requirements
A PhD degree and postdoctoral training in cancer biology, or a closely related field, or a minimum of 2 years industry experience is required.
Demonstrated expertise designing and conducting in vivo CRISPR screens to identify novel targets is required.
In collaboration with colleagues in Oncology Discovery New Target Biology, design and execute in vivo pooled forward genetic screens to identify and validate new targets that modulate immune function and/or tumor cell biology.
In collaboration with Oncology Discovery colleagues, design and plan in vivo studies (including PK/PD and efficacy studies) to interrogate novel therapeutics modulating targets relevant to immune function and/or tumor cell biology
Develop a team of in vivo research scientists; train and mentor colleague
Collaborate with the Vet Sciences to ensure compliance with BMS and external animal welfare regulations.
Develop new animal models and incorporate new technologies to enable the exploration of novel therapeutics.
Communication of work, plans and progress using written and verbal communication in small and group settings
Extensive experience designing and conducting GEM or syngeneic tumor models and xenograft tumor models to explore tumor biology and immune-oncology.
Expertise with CRISPR, cell culture and ex vivo sample analysis, e.g. qPCR, ELISA
Experience in the development and utilization of multi-color flow cytometry to interrogate treatment mediated changes to the microenvironment of syngeneic tumors is a plus
Demonstrated capability to train others in in vivo and in vitro techniques
Demonstrated ability to integrate knowledge from literature
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is essential.
The ability to manage a small laboratory group is expected, including providing growth and development opportunities for direct reports.
This position will have up to 4 direct reports
This position is located in Cambridge, MA. There will be less than 10% travel.
