Our Quality Control Department at the AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA is looking for a dedicated Associate Scientist to join our team on 2nd Shift, Monday- Friday.
As an Associate Scientist, you will perform laboratory testing within a dynamic cGMP environment in support of one or more of the following areas: raw materials, in-process product, final bulk product, stability, and/or validation. You will also need excellent time management skills, the ability to assist in writing investigations and trending data and be an effective teammate.

As an Associate Scientist, you will perform laboratory testing within a dynamic cGMP environment in support of one or more of the following areas: raw materials, in-process product, final bulk product, stability, and/or validation. You will also need excellent time management skills, the ability to assist in writing investigations and trending data and be an effective teammate.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Performs written test methods to support product and material releases
- Comprehends and maintains a safe work environment for yourself and others; Understands, implements and maintains cGMP with respect to laboratory records, procedures and systems in accordance with procedural requirements
- Performs a multitude of laboratory techniques for which you are trained
- Completes assigned tasks within required timelines and works with others to accomplish business objectives
- Revises procedures as necessary and provides continuous improvement support for the department
- Assist with laboratory investigations in a timely fashion
- Support a variety of testing techniques upon completion of training
- Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or equivalent science degree with typically 2+ years of related work experience
- HPLC and/or Capillary Electrophoresis experience
- Spectrophotometric concentration determination
- Experience providing training on laboratory techniques
- LIMS sample management
- Empower software experience
- Working knowledge of advanced laboratory instrumentation
- Compendial testing (USP/EP/JP) to support raw materials testing as needed
- Maintaining critical laboratory inventory
