Scientist / Senior Scientist, Protein Engineer
 

Description
A Scientist / Senior Scientist position is available for a highly motivated and creative protein scientist to join the Department of Protein Chemistry and lead the design and advancement of large-molecule therapeutics for oncology and other therapeutic areas.

The successful candidate will use their extensive experience to apply innovative engineering solutions for the development of next generation protein therapeutics. A solid track record of high-impact publications and patent invention is essential. The successful candidate will be both leading and supporting diverse teams with cross-functional membership. Key requirements for this role include outstanding communication, collaboration and leadership skills.  Preferred individuals will have a thorough understanding of the drug development process and a strong interest in the biological processes underlying disease.
 

Who you are

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular or Structural Biology or a closely related field and extensive experience engineering proteins is required.  Postdoctoral training is also required.
  • The candidate will have strong biochemical, analytical and biophysical skills including mass spectrometry and multiple chromatographic techniques.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to develop and apply new technologies for next generation therapeutic modalities.
  • Candidates must have excellent communication and organizational skills and an interest and understanding of the disease biology.
