This position within the Immunology and Inflammation Therapeutic Focus Area is for a science driven leader with preferred experience in biologics based therapies for respiratory diseases, such as asthma and COPD, and/or disorders driven by type 2 inflammation. This individual will have the opportunity to support Regeneron world class respiratory pipeline, provide leadership and direction for a research team, interpret experimental data and literature, and communicate results to management, department heads, and project teams.

The successful candidate will directly contribute to the development of novel antibody therapeutics to treat a variety of inflammatory and autoimmune disorders in patients and join a dynamic, high-profile, and multidisciplinary. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the validation of our expanding portfolio of antibodies that have been engineered to engage a variety of immune targets, in particular those that drive type 2 inflammation. Ideal applicants will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as this candidate will be expected to work productively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment

Specifically, this candidate will:
*Oversee the development novel animal models to conduct complex in vivo and ex vivo murine studies to interrogate candidate antibody therapeutics with the goal of advancing leads to the clinic, identifying new targets, and understanding disease biology.

*Contribute to project advancement by developing new methods or technologies and troubleshooting

*Analyze and interpret flow cytometry results

*Interpret and summarize key findings from large complex data sets

*Participate in departmental and cross-company meetings with the ability to liaise and collaborate with others internally and externally.

*Identify and validate new disease targets

*Depending on experience, there is an opportunity to more broadly interact with clinical development teams and weigh in on program strategies

*The candidate is expected to contribute scientific knowledge and data to aid regulatory submissions

*Mentor, motivate and manage a small team of scientists and associates

*Demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills


Minimum Years of Experience: Please be as specific as possible.

Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. in Biology, Immunology, Parasitology, Biochemistry or a related field and 7-10 years industry experience

The ideal candidate will be skilled in the design of complex studies to interrogate the in vivo efficacy of novel therapeutics and thus, will have experience with developing and optimizing mouse models of respiratory and/or autoimmune diseases and the subsequent analysis of associated disease-related pathologies by flow cytomety, histology and ELISA.

Must have experience conducting studies utilizing flow cytometry as well as the design of panels, analysis of data and interpretation of findings.

Preferred experience developing and optimizing primary cell assays used to characterize cytokine pathways and screen antibody candidates is preferred.

Preferred experience with the following data analysis programs:
GraphPad PRISM, Softmax Pro, FlowJo analysis, HALO, DIVA software

Must have a record of high quality publications in scientific literature.

The candidate is expected to have effective oral communication and written skills.
