Summary: The Senior Manager, Materials and Components Network will be responsible for managing a mix of supply chain related projects that significantly impact the overall Supply Chain function as it relates to supply of raw materials and components. This position provides exposure to a wide range of individuals and functions. They will manage data analysis that strategizes on ways to evaluate, understand and mitigate materials & components supply risk.
The successful candidate must exercise strong leadership, initiative, and planning. They must also be able to prioritize work, learn new concepts quickly and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for the Overall Strategy related to mitigation of Supply Risk to the business across raw materials & components supply network.

• Partner effectively with 3PLs, Raw Material Suppliers, Supply planning, Raw Materials & Components Management, Quality Assurance, Strategic Sourcing and other functional areas as needed to reduce supply risk and improve service level metrics.

• Partner with suppliers to manage constraints and identify alternative surety of supply options

• Perform risk analysis of the materials & components supply chain and employ strategies to avoid risk and ensure reliable supply.

• Develop and maintain quantitative risk register and response plan.

• Provide periodic updates to senior management about the risk profile of the materials & components network

• Evaluate and implement supply chain management best practices

• Ensure all external suppliers meet GMP, GCP and other regulatory requirements and guidelines.

• Continuous improvement of systems and resource planning processes with the goal of maximizing the use of our internal and external customers. Provide management with analysis of current supply network processes and proactively make recommendations on opportunities to improve these processes.

• Develop supply chain mapping process.

• Oversee all analysis related to raw material product flow and capacity planning

• Evaluate existing product flow and identify new stocking/inventory holding opportunities.

• Develop global raw material & component network strategies. Develop measurement processes for all special programs and operations.

• Contribute to supplier relationship management program

• Creates a dashboard of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to develop and track metrics to measure performance and improve efficiency

• Domestic and international travel required (15%)

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must be familiar with the concepts of supply chain risk management and supplier relationship management

• Business case development and analysis

• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team setting and interact and build relationships across the organization

• Ability to influence leadership and peers throughout all levels of the organization

Education and Experience:

• BS/BA in business or scientific discipline with 8+ years of related experience in project management and supply chain risk management, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry. May substitute relevant industry experience in lieu of educational requirement.

• Experience with lean inventory management methods - VMI, pull systems, etc.

• Success in delivering continuous improvement in an environment of change

• Exceptional written and verbal communication

• Proficient in ERP Systems, Microsoft Office suite

• ASCM (APICS) certification preferred
