Summary
We are seeking a highly talented and innovative Ph.D. scientist to join the Bispecific Antibodies Department at Regeneron. The successful candidate will lead the effort to develop novel bispecific molecules across multiple therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, infectious disease, muscle/metabolism and neurosciences in our state-of-the-art research facility. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate and work with topline scientists in a world-class scientific environment. The ideal candidate will also be responsible to develop novel tools and platforms to enable efficient screening and characterization of these novel molecules. The qualified candidate should have a strong background in antibody/protein engineering, immunology and expertise in at least one of following areas: oncology/metabolism/infectious disease.

Responsibilities
  • Design and construct novel bispecific antibodies and related molecules with the combination of molecular modeling tools and in-depth understanding of the target biology
  • Express and characterize these molecules in vitro using biochemical and cell-based assays
  • Develop cell-based functional assays using engineered cell lines and primary cells
  • Constantly monitor the workflow, identify any gaps and execute on the solutions to enhance the efficiency of the process
  • Troubleshoot experiments with minimal guidance. Independently analyze data and provide accurate summary to management
  • Present data at group and inter-departmental meetings with scientific rigor
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely record of experiments and data analysis
  • Keep abreast of the latest technology and advancement in antibody engineering and therapeutic areas
  • Develop in-depth scientific knowledge in area of research focus, propose new ideas and contribute to decisions on project direction intellectually
  • Collaboration with diverse functional groups within the company

Requirements
  • A PhD in Immunology, Oncology, Molecular Biology, or a related field with 3-5 years post-doctoral or industry experience in the relevant fields (antibody/protein engineering and/or immuno-oncology)
  • Significant experience in antibody/protein engineering, structural biology and immuno-oncology with a proven track of record of innovative solutions
  • Experiences in cell-based assay development and multi-color FACS analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work productively in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and an aptitude for learning are also key elements of the position
  • Broad knowledge in disease biology is preferred
  • Past experience in automation or high throughput screening is preferred
