The Associate Accountant will be a cross functional member of the Finance & Accounting department with scope and responsibilities that include Purchasing, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable. The individual within this role will get an opportunity to work in a team that is seeing growth in automated systems, team size and dynamic as well as process & policy evolution.

The Associate Accountant will be a cross functional member of the Finance & Accounting department with scope and responsibilities that include Purchasing, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable. The individual within this role will get an opportunity to work in a team that is seeing growth in automated systems, team size and dynamic as well as process & policy evolution.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Receive and audit incoming invoices, verifying them against system generated purchase order, receiving document code and ultimately entering those invoices into QuickBooks system
- Process high volume of Accounts Payable invoices daily (2 way, 3 way match and operational)
- Address vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, investigate and correct any discrepancies
- Enter and manage Purchasing requests as needed during times of high demand
- Liaison between Purchasing and Accounts Payable departments maintaining of the Purchasing/Inventory system
- Support month‐end closing processes including credit card reconciliations, process daily cash receipts, maintenance of Fixed Assets database (SAGE FAS), ad hock reporting
Experience & Education:
- HS Degree/GED and 5 years' experience working with accounts payable and receivable
- Expertise with MS Office with focus on Excel
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and experience with high volume of invoicing
- A strong work ethic, professional attitude and reliability
- Experience with QuickBooks accounting system preferred
- Must be able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and be able to respond effectively to pressure, manage multiple tasks and balance heavy workloads
