Come join our Omeros Strategy & Analytics Team!

Who is Omeros?

True innovation requires the right people, and that's what we have at Omeros - smart, hard-working and creative individuals who collaborate and drive to achieve what has not yet been done. We see strength in diversity - diversity in thought, expertise and experience.

We have taken a similar approach in structuring our company. While many biotechs pursue a single therapeutic area or scientific platform, we are strategically building a deep and diverse pipeline of first-in-class small-molecule and antibody therapeutics. The strength of our scientific discoveries and exclusive intellectual property positions enable our pipeline programs to target highly promising receptors and enzymes that others have not been able to develop.

Although cutting across a wide and diverse range of disorders and therapeutic indications - some orphan, others large-market and many for which there are no approved treatments - all of our drugs on the market and in development target critical unmet needs to improve the lives of patients in meaningful ways.

What are your job responsibilities?

Your responsibilities in this position will include:
  • Supporting the identification and implementation of strategic initiatives and explorations across the Commercial group's functional areas: sales and marketing support, business development and market access/reimbursement strategy support
  • Collaborating with cross-company partners (Finance, Sales, CMC)
  • Analyzing patient services data to answer business questions related to HCP and Patient interactions, including reimbursement benefit investigation and copay analytics; analyzing and adding new insights in looking at hub services and operations
  • Ability to manage large data sets from primary market research and secondary sources to mine additional insights with comprehensive skill in Excel or SPSS
  • Preparing variance analysis, financial assessments and trend analysis
  • Creating clear and concise reports for the Commercial team, utilizing storytelling techniques and a deep comfort with marketing and sales concepts
  • Responding to ad hoc requests for key commercial and business insights
  • Ensuring that appropriate analytical techniques and data sources are fully leveraged for incoming analytics requests
  • Evaluating, recommending and communicating appropriate models/techniques and industry knowledge to enable other team members to answer business questions
  • Supporting infrastructure and process improvements
  • Can identify trade-offs in previous work plans with Senior Leadership to accommodate new projects
What education and experience do you need?
  • You will need a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or another analytical field and 4+ years in quantitative analytical or forecasting experience
What knowledge and skills does our ideal candidate have?
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills are a must
  • A deep understanding of the types of analyses and insights that can be drawn from using data and the ability to act as an advisor, speaking effectively to senior leaders about the meaning of analysis done
  • Complete understanding of data quality, validation and compliance processes ensuring accuracy in metrics and communicating discrepancies clearly, prior to being presented to stakeholders
  • Knowledge of coding techniques in SAS (or R or Python), SQL and VBA, and advanced Excel skills; comfort with reporting production and automation techniques
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, MicroStrategy, or similar
  • Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with management, peers and subordinates
  • An extraordinary work ethic and drive for success including the desire to take personal responsibility
  • Ability to utilize your analytical and problem-solving skills
Other things you'll need to know:
  • You may travel up to 5%
If you have the experience, skills and knowledge we are seeking, we'd love to hear from you! This is an exciting opportunity for the right person!
