Analytik Jena US headquarters in Upland, CA is seeking a confident and collaborative Global Product Line Manager to manage all aspects of product lifecycle and branding, including Bio-imaging systems, and other life science and laboratory instruments.

  • Customer Champion –aptitude to step back to see the big picture to identify industry innovation gaps to fill customer needs and requirements in new ways that surpass our competitors
  • Project Leader - Develops strategy roadmap for successful launch, facilitates product development meetings and ensures milestones are met through effective project management
  • Innovative Influencer –Identifies new and next level product opportunities and builds business caseSees challenges as opportunities to be innovative. Ability to effectively influence decisions and support of colleagues and management. Lead product management activities across both US departments, including R&D, Marketing, Sales and Manufacturing, plus product management leaders at Analytik Jena AG international headquarters in Germany
  • Enthusiastic Collaborator - Passionate collaborator who possesses the ability to obtain powerful feedback from customers and colleagues through active listening, probing, asking clarifying questions, seeking to understand, and remaining open-minded
  • Continuous Learner - Stays current on technology and business trend, anticipates emerging customer needs through research, market trend analysis, and quantitative research
  • Product Promoter - Promotes products, including travel to trade shows, to customer locations, trainings, demonstrations, webinars and sales meetings.  Global interaction with distributors and international offices. Possible international travel.  Overnight travel approximately 20%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree. Major in biology, chemistry, related sciences or business preferred.
  • 2+ years relevant experience
  • Proven experience leading brand and product management, product launch and full product life cycle required
  • Cross-functional leadership to influence and execute project management plan, plus international colleague interface experience preferred
  • Ability to access situations and information to make decisions
  • Business acumen and product cycle expertise, including strategic mapping including market trend analysis, competition analysis, continuous product insight, developing marketing material and product management execution
  • Think outside the box and push the status quo
  • Self-motivated, independent, confident and a proactive driving force for successful product execution
  • Confidence to communicate what they don’t know and to ask questions
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize critical tasks for product success
  • Demonstrates clear, engaging, well-organized oral and written communications and presentations in English
  • Aptitude for creative problem solving through professional collaboration to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Technical and physical ability to setup and use products, ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
