Job Details

Global Development Operations is seeking a Clinical Forecast & Analysis Manager to support the infrastructure for resource forecasting and analysis. The role reports to the Clinical Forecast & Analysis Sr. Manager in the Clinical Study Planning / Resource Forecasting Group. In this role, the Clinical Forecast & Analysis Manager will support the infrastructure for our resource forecasting capability including system support and algorithm development and ownership. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will also lead initiatives related to their role, perform analyses and support the overall group.

Job responsibilities include:

Manage and understand the use of the planning and resource forecasting tool, Planisware, including how the planning and resourcing capabilities are used in combination to address requirements appropriately

Troubleshoot business user issues (e.g. study algorithm code, named functions, PEX report logic) and facilitate issue resolution with IS partners

Create and maintain algorithms, leveraging a deep knowledge of algorithm syntax used by Planisware

Manage the lifecycle of the algorithms, styles and portfolios including creating, testing, updating and retiring items as appropriate

Document design specifications and liaise with IS to create new attributes to be used by algorithms

Create user attributes and named formulas to support reporting (i.e. PEX reports) and logic required in styles

Create and maintain ad-hoc, standard and existing PEX reports

Influence the capabilities within PPM as it relates to the strategy of resource forecasting and allocation

Partner with Amgen functions/IS/Planisware as appropriate to design strategies and best practices for resource forecasting capabilities

Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the Planisware data model and the impact of different elements on the algorithms (i.e. activity types, roles, attributes, named formulas)

Understand and execute the process that enables the import/export of drivers

Define the logic for new named functions, drivers and reporting attributes while enabling a scalable product

Work as part of a team while understanding the importance of people, process and technology within each capability

Ability to lead and/or participate in special department, cross-functional or team projects

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 3 years of clinical experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training experience in leading cross-functional teams

8+ years industry experience in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or other Healthcare-related field

4+ years experience in a drug development Project Management, Resource Forecasting or Clinical Planning role

Proven record of implementing Project Management tools, methodologies, practices and infrastructure, as related to the Biopharmaceutical Industry

Independent, motivated, team member with experience in a matrix environment

Cross-functional understanding of R&D Operations, the connection points between functions, and the key roles involved in R&D project execution
