- Tumor cell implantation and administration of therapeutics via subcutaneous, intravenous, and intraperitoneal routes into mice
- Dissection of mouse lymphoid organs and tumors, followed by in vitro processing/purification of tissues/cells
- Perform multiparameter flow cytometry (FACS) and analysis
- Perform various immunoassay techniques (e.g., ELISAs and cell purification)
- Cell culture, including passaging, expanding, cryopreservation, thawing and processing of cells
- Organization of studies: timing of in vitro culturing, tumor implantation, drug dosing, and tumor measurements.
Requirements
This position requires a B.S./M.S. and at least 2-3 years of experience working with in vivo mouse tumor models . - Expertise in administration of experimental therapies (intravenous, subcutaneous, and intraperitoneal injections) in mice and the ability to make detailed observations of tumor growth and mouse health
- Experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry (FACS) analysis and ELISA assays
- Experience working with sterile cell culture techniques for the growth and maintenance of cell lines
- Ability to manage multiple in vivo experiments simultaneously
- Candidate should be competent in standard scientific software used for data analysis (e.g., Microsoft Excel and Prism), as well as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Candidate should be a strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently to design experiments, interpret data, troubleshoot, and adapt experimental design based on emerging data.
