Position Overview:

Molecular Templates is seeking an experienced and highly-motivated professional to support GMP production activities. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory for GMP Production. This position will work closely with GMP Manufacturing Team and Supply Chain personnel to ensure accurate recording and tracking of all GMP materials, from materials receipt, identifying discrepancies and ensuring availability and ongoing production schedule. This requires excellent analytical and mathematical skills, organizational and time-management skills, verbal and written communication skills, plus ability to apply attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities will include:
  • Conduct review of GMP documentation, including but not limited to: Material specifications, inventory records, reconciliation of inventory with production schedule.
  • Perform physical inventories of all GMP production materials and maintain accurate database.
  • Work closely with Warehouse and Quality to quarantine and release all GMP materials in a timely manner
  • Assist with performing internal audits.
  • Plan and complete weekly/monthly/quarterly cycle counts.
  • Identify discrepancies according to production and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Provide additional support to GMP Manufacturing, as needed.


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Associates degree, required; Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) year experience in a warehouse supporting GMP production
  • Experience in biotech industry, required
  • Experience in GMP manufacturing environment, required
  • Demonstrated proficiency with inventory control systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of bioprocesses and hazardous materials
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction and work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth team environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds manually or with additional assistance from staff and/or mechanical lifting equipment (e.g. dolly, cart, lift, hand truck, etc.) to a shelf located 4-6 feet in height; Stand for long periods of time; Bend twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel

Reporting Structure:

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities. This position reports to Sr. Manager, GMP Manufacturing.
