West Coast Security Operations Supervisor

Under general direction, this position supervises personnel engaged in Global Security Operations functions, including guard, reception/switchboard, and communication analyst roles. The positions also assists with the efficient and safe operations of AbbVie's physical security operations, loss prevention and detection services, enforcement of administrative security procedures, and oversees security emergency response.

Responsibility Summary

Under the guidance of the West Coast Regional Security Manager (RSM), the Operations Supervisor will assist supporting the following functions across three sites: overseeing physical security operations, updating all the visitor management systems, overseeing the security operations center, executing quarterly emergency training drills under the direction of the RSM, while maintaining monthly security audits and metrics.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in such areas of security processes, and strong knowledge of site processes and procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary and the ability to effectively work and interact on a professional level is a must

Preferred:

• BA or BS in a related field, Masters desired
• 5 to 7 years (including law enforcement and military) with 2 or more years of supervisory experience

• Prior public or private sector security experience
• Operating or managing the following security systems: Lenel, CCure 9000, and or S2
• Experience in overseeing Envoy Visitor management system or a similar system
• Experience in overseeing daily operations of the vendor guard force
• Exceptional Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
• Comfortable with liaising with Law Enforcement and other local first responder agencies
• Experience in being a Decision-Maker, while identify security issues that may adversely affect employees on campus. The ability to use sound judgement and discretion
• Excellent investigative skills, while utilizing discreetness and confidentiality
• Experience with professionally interfacing with C-suite executives.
