Summary:

The Program Trial Finance Sr. Analyst is the primary driver of all financials related to clinical trial and regulatory planning and execution. He/she is the point person for Program Finance in interacting with clinical project managers and team leads to translate assumptions into forecasted dollars for his/her respective programs. He/she is expected to be the source of truth for detailed information related to cost drivers for clinical trials, regulatory activity and health authority submissions. He/she interacts regularly with the team's Program Generalist and Program Lead to ensure full understanding of clinical decision making and associated cost implications across multiple programs simultaneously. Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include the following:

• Translates operational components of development plans to detailed forecasts for external clinical costs and reviews with Clinical team

• Partners with internal Clinical Finance reps to validate FTE forecasts relative to development plan assumptions

• Reviews all clinical inputs into Hyperion with Program Finance Analyst prior to data lock & load

• Partners with clinical program management personnel to build detailed Blue Sheet Budget for clinical trials

• Prepares financials for senior leadership ad hoc meetings and regular alliance data exchanges on an as-needed basis

• Regularly partners with Accounting to communicate clinical trial accruals and translate actuals impact to forecasts

• Regularly partners with Procurement and Therapeutic Area Program Managers to ensure vendor contracts are initiated before Purchase Orders (POs) and change orders are processed timely. Tracks and accounts for all POs and change orders in the external forecasts.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience with forecasting, budgeting and/or business partnering ideally in a science or research driven environment

• Experience in pharmaceutical clinical development and knowledge of the drug development continuum including understanding of the critical path and functional interactions a plus

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management, to function effectively in a team environment and to gain the cooperation of individuals across the organization

• Ability to identify and communicate process improvements to ensure priority deliverables are built in an efficient and accurate manner

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or quantitative field with top-tier MBA a significant plus.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and commitment to delivering high quality deliverables within tight timelines

• Proficiency in Excel. Experience with Pivot tables, Hyperion, COMPASS and ClearTrial a plus.
