Amgen's Global Commercial Operations Information Systems (GCO IS) is looking for an experienced Data Product Owner to join the Commercial Data & Analytics Product Team. This leader will be responsible for evolving Amgen's data and analytics capabilities to help brands find opportunities to serve more patients through strategic technology investments and the use of data for generation of insights. This resource will partner closely with the regional Data & Analytics teams (US, EU, JAPAC and ICON). She or he will lead scrum teams to deliver business value through incremental product delivery. The position will report to the Senior Manager Information Systems.

Responsibilities:

Lead Agile Scrum teams with planning, prioritization and generation of technical solutions for the new data product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production

Define robust data services for on-boarding, integrating and distributing data efficiently for Sales and Pricing data products

Define data products roadmap, which includes but it is not limited to Sales, Claims, Master Data, Activity, Pricing and Contracts

Work with multi-functional and regional teams to manage product releases

Provide reliable and business ready data products for all regions

Seek chances to create data available for Amgen users across functions (Commercial, R&D, Digital Health, Corporate Functions and Operations)

Foster a culture of innovation to encourage IS resources to evaluate and introduce new technologies that will allow business partners to meet their objectives

Build and nurture expertise in the wide set of technologies required to execute a Data Service including but not limited to AWS (S3, Redshift)

Mentor and coach Scrum teams of IS technologists to develop a strong center of expertise on Commercial Data

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Master's degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Passion for innovation, data and "can do" attitude

Ability to learn quickly and develop and maintain skills to the highest standards consistent with best practices and emerging trends in analytics & business operations.

Excellent executive level influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with key business partners, IT leadership teams, and external services providers

Demonstrated ability to actively listen, understand business criticality of various applications, integrate input from diverse sources, and collaboratively translate business questions into data and analysis requirements and a clear path forward

Proven ability to foster a collaborative environment where diversity and inclusion are valued

Can work in a team setting with the ability to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable and effective workplace

Experience with AWS cloud technologies and analytic tools

Working knowledge of Dev/Ops software development methodologies.

Familiarity with different types of pharmaceutical data-sets
