We are currently recruiting for a Research Associate I or II. The person in this position will perform the following:
  • Small rodent surgeries, including stereotactic injections and electrode implantations
  • Management of complex mouse colony, including acquisition, breeding and distribution of mice and computerized record-keeping
  • Preparation an maintenance of primary cell cultures from rodent embryos
  • General molecular biological techniques, including protein assays, gel electrophoresis, western blots and quantitative PCR
  • Histology and light microscopy techniques, including processing tissues, immunostaining and image processing



  • Associates degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • BA/BS in neuroscience, biology or a related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Candidates should also excel in communication and organizational skills, work ethic, interpersonal skills, accuracy, attention to details, and ability to multitask.
  • Requires bending, squatting, climbing stairs, pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, sitting, standing, walking, carrying/lifting 20-25 pounds, repetitive movements of upper and lower extremities, may be exposed to chemical agents.
