Regeneron is a bio-pharma company offering seven products globally, and supporting over 8000 full time staff as well as contract staff and partners. We are seeking an experienced technology leader with relevant Bio-Pharma experience to lead our Infrastructure and Operations team.

As the leader of I&O you will partner with the company's senior IT leadership and manage the IT Operations environment that supports all IT services for Regeneron. Candidates must have a strong background in Infrastructure & Data Center Operations, IT Customer Service, IT Governance, IT Project Management, and Vendor Relations. The ideal candidates will have business and IT experience and will have worked in a global multi-site environment. Key goals are excellence in Operations, ensuring day to day Services operate without error. This is both critical and foundational to everything else IT may be involved in. The role also requires strong ability to operate in a Dev-Ops environment, partnering with these teams and transitioning support to Operations when appropriate. In addition, the candidate must be an innovative thinker with strong written and oral communication skills that can successfully interact with all levels of the organization. Must demonstrate strong change management and ability to build high performing teams.


• Partners with the CIO, IT Leadership and other business leaders as appropriate to develop the vision and strategy of the infrastructure, service support, and supporting business applications ensuring they are aligned with the corporate goals and strategies.

• Lead IT Operations strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the deployment, and management IT systems across the organization.

• Partner with the Dev-Ops teams to ensure continuity of support and a singular process for end user support delivery. This will involve continually reviewing the support models in place for active dev-ops deliverables.

• Establish IT Operations departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures; directs continuous improvement of the staff, equipment, and procedures to maintain pace with technological progress, economic change, and business needs.

• Manage IT Operations ensuring reliability and availability of data centers, infrastructure, and core enterprise applications.

• Manage the Service Desk ensuring adherence to ITIL best practices; department procedures; corporate policies; and exceeds the service level expectations of the organization.

• Manage the I&O Portfolio/Project Management team with the goal of increasing end-user efficiency and effectiveness through the use of technology.

• Reviews requests for additional information systems services and identifies impact on current planned resources.

• Partners with Enterprise Security and Software Engineering to ensure technology deployments and department procedures are in alignment with DevSecOps best practices.

• Collaborates with department heads on project requirements and implementations..

• Develops and maintains metrics performance and capacity.

• Negotiates, maintains, and complies with software license and maintenance agreements.

• Negotiates and maintains vendor and service agreements.

• Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets, which includes tightly managing expenditures to the approved budgets.

• Hires, retains and develops a successful team to support IT services; provides guidance and direction to the management team. Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of IT Operations staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.

• Travels to company sites as needed and maintains on-call availability to ensure service continuity.

• Attends industry seminars, conferences, and training classes to update knowledge and skills.

• Attends team, departmental, and staff meetings to discuss issues and foster teamwork.

• Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent experience.

• Minimum fifteen years of experience in Information Technology with at least ten years in senior leadership, including experience in I&O strategic planning and execution.

• Strong experience in change management and implementing business solutions.

• Experience across a range IT disciplines including Service delivery and support, infrastructure and data center technologies.

• Experience negotiating contracts and managing service agreement with technical partners.

• Knowledge and experience in DevSecOps.

• Experience in managing developing multi-million dollar department/organization operating and capital budgets and effectively planning and managing activities within the established constraints of approved budgets.

• Experience with ITIL, COBIT, or other IT control frameworks; ITIL preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office including intermediate knowledge in Word and Excel.

• Valid Driver's license with good driving record. Availability of automobile for on the job use and proof of insurance.

• Demonstrated experience in IT service and support for a multi-site organization.

• Demonstrated experience in team facilitation, collaboration, negotiations, problem solving, stakeholder management, and project management.

• Conveys clear and concise message appropriate to intended audience; represents company in a professional manner through effective verbal and written communication; and ability to work with employees at all levels.

• On-call availability and ability to work under pressure.

• Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current and evolving technologies and prices.

• 15-20 years in direct and complimentary areas of responsibility.
