We are seeking an Associate Director, Human Resources Business Partner ("HRBP") who will partner with the site leadership team in El Segundo, CA. With direct reporting to the Tech Ops Sr. Director of Human Resources, you will be on the onsite HR support for our facility of 500+ employees where we produce life-saving treatment to our patients. In this role, you will partner with the Manufacturing and Quality leaders in the deployment of talent management, goal setting, employee relations, performance management, and mentoring for the El Segundo teams. Essential Duties and Job Functions
  • Oversee a range of human resources services, providing proactive HR leadership and consultation to business groups supporting leaders, managers and employees of the organization.
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide the strategic leadership in organizational change and other new initiatives. Ensure interpersonal success in complex competitive business situations such as outstanding business trajectories, reorganizations, and fast-growth.
  • Provide change management expertise to drive faster adoption, greater utilization and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization. Develop and deploy change management training programs across client groups.
  • Design and/or implement programs in accordance with company-wide human resources policies, procedures and initiatives. Serve as a consultant to client group management and responsible for identifying the need for HR programs or strategies to support objectives, as well as strategic direction.
  • Serve as integrated part of the business, working with and advising the managers of respective client groups to align with and assist in accomplishing broader strategic objectives, and making recommendations for changes in organizational structure or processes to support growth within the organization.
  • Drive Kite's commitment to Diversity & Inclusion through numerous initiatives such as advisory councils, Employee Resource Groups, programs, policies and other resources.
  • Provide senior management with an interpretation of current HR policies and may facilitate the training of managers and supervisors on HR programs and policies.
  • Partner with the HR COEs to deliver customized programs and services to the business in the areas of
  • Total Rewards (drive merit, bonus and equity planning process, coach managers on market pricing, differentiation and compensation philosophy)
  • Organizational Development and Talent Management (lead talent planning across all levels of the organization for assigned client groups with a focus on development, goal setting and retention),
  • Performance Management (support all levels of management by providing HR advice, counsel and decisions regarding performance improvement)

Knowledge, Experience and Skills
  • Typically requires a BA/BS degree, preferably with an emphasis in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Business, and a minimum of 12 years relevant experience in the HR field.
  • MA/MS degree preferred but can be substituted for 2 years of related experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required (should be skilled in use of word, power point, and excel).
  • Proven teammate and able to work reciprocally with and through others.
