Job Details
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing research on laws, regulations, and industry developments affecting the clinical and contracting issues
- Providing legal services of moderate to comprehensive scope and complexity
- Drafting and negotiating contracts in time sensitive environment
- Communicating (written and orally) with internal clients and external parties
- Supporting and delivering training or cross-training of paralegals and other staff within practice area
- Undertaking special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate Degree
OR
Master's Degree and 2 years of legal experience
OR
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of legal experience
OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of legal experience
OR
High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of legal experience
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program
Strong organizational, multitask and prioritization skills
Attention to detail
Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple routine matters simultaneously
Competency in use of relevant systems and processes
Understand and comply with all relevant procedures and policies
Role model the Amgen values
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience in a variety of database systems
