The Global Market Access Team leads the market access strategies and planning for pipeline as well as on market products.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Reporting to the Sr. Director HCV/Specialty, this position leads the Global Market Access for General Medicine in partnership with the respective cross-functional teams
  • Responsible for developing global market access, pricing and reimbursement strategic and tactical plans for global mature brands
  • Develop value propositions and providing tools and support Areas and Affiliates and support global pricing strategies.
  • This position would support the Global Brand Teams and support marketing directors in strategic brand planning and provide input to relevant internal groups regarding market access needs.
  • The position works closely with Area and affiliate personnel in determining appropriate responses / actions to local pricing and/or reimbursement issues and provides training as needed.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Manager of Pricing to track pricing challenges, develop pricing strategies, and respond to challenges to maximize brand margin.
  • Additionally, the position is responsible for creating a training platform and tools to support skill development required for mature brands such as contracting and tendering, stakeholder mapping, loss of exclusivity preparation and key account manager support which may be adapted for individual brands.

This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to understand and translate clinical information and messages into payer marketing messages, strong presentation skills and the ability to work well in a cross-functional team

Basic Qualifications:
  • 7 years of experience (Sr. Manager Level) in market access, managed care marketing, payer support, marketing, pricing and reimbursement, or payer policy
  • Education: B.A/B.S required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in payer-related fields (managed care, payer marketing, market access policy) or generic industry is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge in the areas of life cycle management, generic strategies, price management, product training, and tendering/contracting is preferred.
  • The candidate must possess strong leadership, interpersonal, critical thinking and analytical skills to work with a variety of groups in ensuring that the strategic direction for market access and pricing is in balance with the market as well as corporate goals.
  • The candidate must be willing to work across products, both on market and near market in a variety of therapeutic areas, as needs dictate.
  • The candidate must be sensitive to cultural and market differences as they will interact and travel to multiple countries in their role.
  • This candidate must be comfortable in international markets, and have the ability to function in multinational and multicultural environments.
  • This candidate must have strong presentation and writing skills
  • Education: prefer degree in a scientific or economic area. MBA preferred
