The Commercial Data & Analytics (cDNA) Senior Manager will lead consumer primary market research activities to support Repatha Consumer promotional/marketing activities. This role reports to the Director of Consumer Insights, US VoC.

Job responsibilities include:
  • Develop and nurture productive relationships with the Repatha cross-functional marketing team to appropriately define the business problems/business questions.
  • Take full ownership for setting up the research objectives, priorities and work plans to best address/answer the business questions.
  • Blend art and science to uncover insights-based strategies that resolve complex business challenges.
  • Conduct key strategic and highly complex market research programs and translate the findings into strategic and tactical recommendations that help drive Repatha brand performance.
  • Deliver highly compelling insights and champion the voice of the customer
  • Represent the voice of the consumer based on a deep consumer understanding, building intimacy and empathy of the consumer
  • Drive continuous innovation in market research methodologies and frameworks with a special focus on social media & search
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with best-in-class market research vendors
  • Synthesize learnings across multiple studies into compelling stories that spur action
  • Ensure that both routine and ad-hoc projects are in compliance with all Amgen SOPs and meet service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, and budget


Basic Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of analytics experience

OR
  • Master's degree and 4 years of analytics experience

OR
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of analytics experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated exceptional strategic / critical thinking abilities and business acumen
  • Good understanding of biopharmaceutical marketing and direct to consumer strategies & tactics
  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative market research design, execution, analysis and reporting; experience in secondary research desired
  • Strong understanding that patients are, at their core, people first
  • Demonstrated ability to dig deep and the uncover the "why" beneath observed consumer behaviors (go beyond the rational)
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated cross-functional and relationship management skills including:
    • ability to successfully guide and consult with internal business partners
    • ability to be sensitive to and aware of political factors and social environment
    • ability to manage change
  • Excellent story teller with an ability to bring business partners onboard
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
  • Cardiovascular therapeutic area/disease knowledge and experience
