Manager - Methodology Statistician

Act as an in-house specialist in applying statistical methodology and innovation in Kite Pharma's Clinical Statistics and Translational Medicine; develop innovative, efficient statistical methods for ready-to-use application in Kite's studies and projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate innovative statistical methods for efficient clinical trial design and analysis (clinical study and translational research) and transform promising methods into ready-to-use toolkits.

• Promote broad usage of innovative, complex statistical methods and mentor other statisticians and functions in applying them to their projects; provide training, consultancy and perform prototype usage of complex or innovative methods

• Lead the collaboration with academia and attract talents in applied statistical methodology topics

Requirements:

• PhD of Statistics with 2 to 4 years of post-school experience, as a statistician in clinical development in Pharma/CRO or as a researcher in an academic institute with a focus on clinical trial methodologies

• Excellent scientific background and capability in understanding innovative, complex statistical methodology and concepts

• Excellent technical expertise in SAS and/or R with a proven track record in extending and implementing statistical concepts into ready-to use software.

• Ability to communicate, challenge and extend complex methodological topics and interact with other statisticians on statistical-methodological issues for pivotal trials or complex projects

• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with people, internally and externally

• Expert knowledge in one or more of the following methodological areas: survival analysis, missing value handling, dose finding, event projection, Bayesian statistics, subgroup identification and machine learning.

• Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent presentation and teaching skills
