Summary
The Project Associate, Research Program Management Operations, contributes to the support provided to the Research & Development organization by the Program Management Operations group. Using prior program management knowledge and technical experience, the PA provides operational support and drives assigned projects or processes to completion. This person will support the R&D Sr. Management Meetings process, the R&D Publication Approval process as well as project support in the R&D SharePoint environment

Responsibilities
Teams: Provides overall support to a given functional area which may include meeting logistics, as well as the creation of templates, working and best practices, tracking and monitoring tools and general training support.

Planning and Tracking: Utilizes project management techniques to identify, develop and maintain planning tools in support of the assigned project (s) to facilitate standardization and coordination. Develops good communication and working relationships with project leaders, managers and individuals within each project team.

Information: Supports the implementation and administration of tools used by the assigned functional area. Develops and maintains organizational structure of shared databases, develops and supports best practices and processes for managing user requests, training, security matrices, etc.

Communication: Works with RPM members to streamline the process for updating and finalizing various deliverables: action item/decision logs, meeting minutes, weekly meeting schedules, project plans, presentation materials, etc.

Process Improvement: Identifies, creates, and maintains tools and templates to standardize and optimize processes in support of RPM. Maintains and organizes accurate records and archive on shared sites. Generates business process documentation.

Training: Supports, creates and compiles training materials for new tools created and supported by the department.

System Support: Migrates data and files for newly implemented systems, generates dashboards updates/reports.

This position requires a Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant progressive project / program management experience. Experience should include:

• Works independently with general / limited guidance from a supervisor.

• Works cross-functionally in a matrix organization and supports the high-level operational plan.

• Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.

• Exhibits the ability to apply lessons learned to new situations.

• Handles multiple projects and priorities with exceptional organizational and time management skills (both project and self).

• Proficient in advanced techniques with relevant software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc. in addition to experience working within shared work environments.
