Known for its scientific and operational excellence, Regeneron is a leading science-based biopharmaceutical company that discovers, invents, develops, manufactures, and commercializes medicines for the treatment of serious medical conditions. Regeneron commercializes medicines for eye diseases, high LDL-cholesterol, atopic dermatitis and a rare inflammatory condition and has product candidates in development in other areas of high unmet medical need, including rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, pain, cancer and infectious diseases.

We are seeking a highly-motivated PhD-level scientist to join our membrane technology group in the Therapeutic Proteins department of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. In collaboration with our topline research groups, help us identify body-friendly antibodies to replace small molecule drugs, in a world-class scientific environment, using state of the art structural study tools. In combination with structural elucidation via Cryo-EM, the potential for high impact publication exists as well!

The main job responsibilities of this position include: 1) designing constructs for optimal expression of wild-type and stabilized multispan membrane proteins such as GPCRs and ion-channels in insect or mammalian cells; 2) identify proper detergent solubilization and purification conditions of the multispan membrane proteins; 3) Generate sufficient quantities of purified membrane proteins presented in detergent form or reconstituted into lipid nanodiscs for antibody therapeutics discovery purposes.
A successful candidate should have solid knowledge and training in membrane protein biology and engineering as well as hands-on experience in expression, purification, and characterization of these proteins. Postdoctoral experience with a track record of high quality research demonstrated by publications will be highly desirable. Hands-on experience in GPCR thermostable mutation designs and radioligand binding assay development will be also helpful.

The position will involve multitasking on multiple projects at once, so excellent record-keeping and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to absorb new information rapidly. As a key part of cutting-edge multispan antibody discovery programs, this position will have the opportunity to leverage his/her expertise within the broader Regeneron R&D environment by collaborating with other scientists in cell biology, protein chemistry, and structural biology, that will be both challenging and rewarding!

This is an opportunity to join our select team that is already leading the way in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry. Apply today and learn more about Regeneron's unwavering commitment to combining good science & good business.
