Job Details
The Collaboration, Communications, and Computing Group provides end user Technology services to Amgen Globally. The group provides Architecture and Delivery for PC and Device Management, Desktops, Mobility, Print, Global Remote Access and Audio/Visual.
Reporting to the End User Device Principal Architect, the Endpoint Management Architect is responsible for:
Delivery of long term end user device implementation, inclusive of PC, Mac, Mobile Devices, Collaboration Systems, AV Systems, and other devices that may become common place in the enterprise
Delivery of hardware standards for current need, as well as a deep understanding of enterprise IT to guide the team in the proper direction with new device selection
Interact with end users from all aspects of Amgen's business to ensure that business use cases are well understood and documented
Interact with manufacturers and vendors to understand service offerings and product limitations
Interact with business leaders and constituents to develop use cases for unmet or under developed needs
Provide quantitative feedback and testing on new devices in the market place
Develop strong vendor relationships, leveraging beta and user feedback forums where available
Maintain and develop EUT Lab for such devices, working closely with software architects to deliver EUT systems
Work closely with network and security teams to ensure enterprise posture is maintained
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OR
Master's degree and 2 years of Device management or mobility experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Device management or mobility experience
OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Device management or mobility experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Device management or mobility experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience
Experience with the ITIL process framework and outsourced resource support models
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, including scoping, defining, planning, implementing and documenting business opportunities
