The successful applicant would be part of a fast-paced and interactive research group exploring therapeutics for oncology and immunology indications. The applicant will be responsible for leading in vivo pharmacology research teams, bringing up new oncology targets, developing and adapting in vivo models, and accurately and clearly presenting experimental objectives and data.

Responsibilities will include conducting and supervising in vivo and in vitro assays. In vivo work will include small animal handling techniques such as mouse tumor inoculation and measurement, oral, sc and iv dosing, and tissue collection. Familiarity with a range of xenografts and syngeneic models is required. Familiarity with biological imaging techniques and flow cytometry is preferred. In vitro work includes a range of cellular assays and molecular biological techniques. The successful candidate will also be pro-active, enthusiastic, show a desire to learn and be a part of a busy, highly productive team.

Basic qualifications:

Doctorate degree
Master's degree and 4 years of scientific experience
Bachelor's degree and 7 years of scientific experience

Preferred qualifications:
  • PhD with 4+ years of postdoctoral research in cancer biology, pharmacology or immunology
  • Broad knowledge of cancer biology with demonstrated independence in critical thinking and scientific achievement as reflected by publications and presentations
  • Direct experience with in vivo models, multi-color flow cytometry, and imaging methods
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring junior scientists
  • Flexibility to work in teams to troubleshoot key issues, provide critical input to colleagues, changing project goals and meet timelines
