Amgen is seeking a Business to Business IS Technical Analyst to join Amgen Information Systems (IS), working in the Partner Services Team within Digital Workplace Experience (DWX) office supporting end-user technologies. In this key role, you will establish Business to Business partner relationships by gathering and maintaining key partner information for solution design, aligned with current policies and business standards. You will be working on high visibility projects and play a key role to delivering on IS initiatives. You will provide advice and guidance to key global and functional area teams, system and project owners, and External Business Partners while serving a technical solution SME.

DWX is responsible for the design, development, delivery, governance, and life cycle of Amgen's messaging and collaboration technologies. The team consists of cross-disciplinary IS professionals who understand how to deliver services that span both infrastructure and applications.

Key activities for the Business to Business IS Technical Analyst include:
  • Implement solutions for external clients based on functional specification and capabilities
  • Perform in-depth information gathering to perform solution designs with subject matter experts
  • Interact with Amgen's Information Security, Identity and Access Management, teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized to protect Amgen's information
  • Perform hands-on technical development work and deliver readiness training to external business partners
  • Interact with multiple cross-functional areas to understand and develop joint roadmaps/strategies
  • Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation
  • Independently resolve complex, break-fix issues and identify and correct complex system issues
  • Own issues to completion


Basic Qualifications

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Systems and/or Unified Communication experience

OR

Associate degree and 6 years of Information Systems and/or Unified Communication experience

OR

High school diploma/GED and 8 years of Information Systems and/or Unified Communication experience

Preferred Qualifications

Technical background and in depth, hands-on delivery experience with the following technologies:
  • VPN/Firewall
  • SaaS
  • Azure AD and Identity Management Platforms
  • Messaging tools
  • SharePoint
  • UC/UCaaS
  • Collaboration Tools (Office O365, Box, etc.)
  • Experience with managing projects using Scrum and Agile methodologie
  • Experience in software development life cycle and business planning
  • Experience with modern web standards and technologies (e.g. HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, cloud APIs)
  • Experience in developing and utilizing knowledge of other business processes supported by SAP including planning, forecasting, supplier management, contract manufacturing etc.
  • Experience virtually assembling data points to underpin business cases with a strong technology acumen, open-mindedness, and agile approach.
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging infrastructure technologies and how other enterprises are employing them
  • Experience interacting with vendors to understand and develop joint roadmaps/strategies
  • Experience managing third-party organizations responsible for the operational support of the service
  • Experience developing continual testing practices within a Digital Workplace Ecosystem (Applications, Mobile, EndPoint technologies) to minimize/lower risk or Cyber-Security threat
  • Demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to perform detail-oriented work
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, work planning, and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate proactively with others
  • Attention to detail and experimental/troubleshooting aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to identify business patterns used for collaboration and translate the patterns into standardized solutions
  • Strong background delivering emerging technologies, mitigating risk and delivering innovation
