Assertio Therapeutics, Inc., is a specialty pharmaceutical company, providing medicines in neurology, orphan, and specialty areas in the United States. We are dedicated to developing and commercializing treatments for patients suffering from mild to moderate acute pain. The purpose of the Internship is to create a talent pipeline for direct hire opportunities in Assertio's organization.

Our interns will work on projects that impact the business and provide them with unique insights into the healthcare industry and specialty pharmaceuticals.

Assignments are approximately 12 weeks in length and include a final presentation of the project results to executive team and colleagues.

The Internship will provide you with access to industry experts, our executive team, and numerous networking opportunities throughout the summer.


  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking and thrive in a dynamic, startup like environment
  • Experience in each of the following MS Office applications:
    • MS Outlook - Proficient
    • MS Word - Proficient
    • MS Excel - Proficient
    • MS PowerPoint - Proficient
  • Must be deadline driven and have a high level of organizational and planning skills
  • The ideal candidate exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills; he or she also possesses the ability to work well in teams, effectively manage multiple projects, and present ideas clearly and concisely.


  • Enrolled in a U.S. accredited university for the semester before and immediately following the internship
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and have completed at least their sophomore year
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without sponsorship in the future
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0/4.0
  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare
